Your mission
As a Propulsion System Engineer (all genders), you will significantly contribute to the design, development, and certification of the aircraft propulsion system. You will work as part of a multi-functional team, reporting to the Head of Propulsion and covering the power plant physical and functional integration, including electric engine and engine control, electric engine thermal management, propeller system & propeller control, power plant mounting system, propulsion system HMI, and the overall power plant hardware and software integration. Your daily tasks will include a variety of technical activities for the propulsion team. Every day will bring new challenges, and you will be given a healthy amount of responsibility and autonomy, always supported by the team.
Your Day-to-Day:
Your Day-to-Day:
- Proactively lead and execute technical tasks within the propulsion department for the Microliner development and certification, from capturing technical requirements to demonstrating compliance.
- Contribute significantly to the definition, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the aircraft propulsion system, including cockpit HMI and system maintainability.
- Develop physical and functional interfaces (ICDs) between the power plant and the aircraft structure and related systems and disciplines.
- Coordinate propulsion system safety analysis and conduct system engineering tasks.
- Perform propulsion system validation and verification activities.
- Develop and integrate the power plant digital mock-up (DMU) with the aircraft 3D model.
- Select, interact with, and manage suppliers, taking responsibility for work packages related to the development and integration of different propulsion sub-systems.
- Actively participate in supplier Technical Review Meetings (TRM) and Program Review Meetings (PRM) as well as major program milestones such as PDR, CDR, First Flight, and Type Certification.
- Define, plan, coordinate, and execute propulsion equipment qualification campaigns together with suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Prepare, commission, troubleshoot, and execute propulsion system hardware and software testing campaigns, from component test benches to full-scale prototypes, and aircraft ground and flight test campaigns.
- Provide full engineering support for prototype final assembly and initial integration ground tests.
- Ensure adherence to all engineering processes and standards and participate in design reviews to meet development and certification goals.
