Permanent employee, Full-time · Munich

Your mission
As an Aircraft Systems Installation Engineer (all genders), you will be responsible for the mechanical installation of multiple aircraft systems, ensuring that installations meet stringent system requirements and aerospace standards. You will manage the integration of systems across various aircraft zones, including propulsion, hydromechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, and ensure seamless interfaces with structural components. Additionally, you will lead and coordinate with external parties on design work packages related to system installation. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in CAD and PLM systems, a comprehensive understanding of system installation and routing, and the ability to prepare and release detailed single part and assembly drawings.
Your Day-to-Day
  • System Design & Installation: Design and oversee the installation of aircraft systems—including propulsion, hydromechanical, electrical, and electronic - ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to specifications and timelines.
  • System and Zone Management: Manage system installation and integration across aircraft zones, ensuring compatibility with structural components and subsystems.
  • Interface Development: Support design and documentation of physical interfaces (ICDs) for system compatibility and performance across subsystems.
  • Safety and Compliance: Perform installations in line with aerospace regulations and standards, maintaining knowledge of industry requirements.
  • Supplier Coordination: Lead external suppliers and subcontractors to deliver system design packages that meet quality, project, and timing requirements.
  • Safety Analysis Support: Contribute to zonal and safety analyses per ARP4761, identifying and mitigating hazards across systems.
  • CAD and PLM Integration: Apply CAD skills for system design, ensuring integration with PLM for lifecycle management of components.
  • Drawing Preparation: Prepare and release accurate part and assembly drawings, ensuring documentation compliance within PLM systems.
  • Installation Evaluation: Assess installations for functionality, environmental factors, removal envelopes, and feasibility in maintenance.
  • Prototype Support: Provide support for prototype assembly and testing, addressing installation challenges in both ground and flight tests.
  • Documentation and Standards: Ensure all procedures meet aerospace standards, participating in design reviews to achieve certification goals.

About us
VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Since the restrictions by law on CO2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights.
At VÆRIDION our goal is to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it  provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around  proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
