Intern / Student, Part-time · Munich

Your mission
Join our innovative R&D team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace battery systems. As a Working Student Electrcial Engineering - Electronics (all genders), you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of battery management systems (BMS), power electronics, and control systems - helping us create highly integrated solutions for the aerospace industry.
Your Day-to-Day
  • Collaborate with the team to explore and implement new ideas, from AI-based solutions to innovative PCB design and manufacturing techniques.
  • Support the development of BMS hardware and embedded software, ensuring seamless integration with electrical and mechanical components.
  • Design and modify analog & digital circuits according to schematics and performance requirements.
  • Use simulation tools like Spice and Simulink to model circuit behaviour and validate your designs.
  • Design and layout multi-layer prototype PCBs, both from scratch and using existing templates.
  • Manage and organize the electronic component library
  • Conduct experiments and tests to validate prototype performance in the lab.
  • Modify and debug embedded C code for ARM microcontrollers, performing testing on both hardware and software in the lab.
Your profile
  • You are currently studying Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or a related field).
  • You have experience with PCB schematic design and layout using tools such as EAGLE, Altium Designer, or similar.
  • You are comfortable with basic electronics debugging and using lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, soldering stations, power supplies, signal analysers).
  • Familiarity with Li-ion battery technology is a plus.
  • You are proactive, self-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented approach to your work.
  • Experience with ARM microcontrollers, embedded C programming, debugging, and CAN/SPI/UART bus analysis is a plus.
Why us?
  • Be a part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation.
  • Enjoy flexible working hours: we believe in ownership and trust.
  • Subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership: your (mental) health is important for us
  • Work in one of our offices in Munich or Delft. Enjoy the modern Balan Campus in Munich or work close to the innovative Aerospace TU Delft.
  • Boost your professional as well as personal growth executing your own ideas and independent projects.
  • Join our internal social events and retreats (e.g. cooking, game nights, sports).
About us
VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Since the restrictions by law on CO2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights.
At VÆRIDION our goal is to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it  provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around  proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
